Existence of Abstraction B71

Description

All of South Korean artist Lee Nuri’s works are sculptures made using traditional ceramic techniques.

At first glance, these sculptures seems spontaneous and improvised, but it is the flow from volume to line and line to volume in abstract sculpture, allowing not only the softness and gentleness of Korean beauty to be felt but also a seemingly infinite number of images that differ in the eyes of each person to be created.

The abstract and formative beauty in the work offers the viewer time to ponder on the present while subtly revealing the values we want to regain in modern society.

Please note: These pieces are handmade and feature small markings from the making process. Each object has a slight difference in pattern, shape and size due to the nature of pottery. There may be a difference in the flow marks or the thickness of the glaze from the glazing process. Iron in the clay or glaze can cause brown or black spots on the surface. In the process of kiln firing, marks from air bubbles, glaze, etc. may appear on the surface. Matte products may be vulnerable to scratches. Ships from the maker’s studio in South Korea. Approximately 4-8 weeks lead time.

Approx Measurements: 22cm width x 13cm diameter x 8cm height. Stoneware. Handmade in South Korea. Ships from South Korea.
