Ignition Switch for Boxster/996 Models up to 2003. Only for Models with an Original Lock Assembly Part Number: 996-347-017-05 or 996-347-017-06. One of the most common part to fail on the 986/996 models is the ignition switch. Symptoms may include any of the following:1. Difficulty inserting or removing the key2. Difficulties turning the key3. Intermittent electrical problems (Radio, A/C, Power Seats, Lights etc)The igntion/lsteering lock assembly was eventually upgraded on Model Year 2004 and up to fix this issue.
